Intermediate they are, due to their size but also to their flowering season: ‘Rare Edition’, an early bloomer will open around the 21st of April while the latest intermediates such as ‘Petit Tigre’ are in full bloom when the early Tall Bearded varieties start to flower around May 10th.
45 to 65cm tall, the intermediate category is wide in range and has the advantage of being wind resistant. They should be planted at 25cm intervals and you will soon have a bed packed with flowers at the very end of April.
The illustrated varieties Orageux and Doux Printemps (Cayeux 2017) can be found on our website : www.cayeux-irises.com (among 80 different intermediate iris varieties).
Reminder: our display beds will be open to visitors as of May 2nd (every day including week-ends and holidays until June 2nd).
