You have had the 2015 catalogue, you have browsed our www.iris-cayeux.com website, but have you ever come here to meander through our presentation patches, walking among the 450 odd varieties of iris growing there?
Only during such a visit would you be able to appreciate the merits of each variety, one in relation to the other. The presence of so-called historic irises also enables one to understand the evolution of our favourite plant which is considerable as well as continuous.
Generally speaking, the peak of the flowering season is around the 22nd to the 28th of May in our region, lasting for a few days only. It is then possible to contemplate the early varieties towards the end of their flowering period as well as the start of the late-blooming varieties. If you are travelling from far, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us to find out about the stage of flowering.
We will be open every day until the 5th of June, including week-ends and holidays, from 8:00 to 18:00 continuously (except at WE and holidays when we take a break from 12:00 till 14:00).
You will also find our irises from the 15th to the 17th of May at the “Journées de Courson” in Chantilly, on the 23rd and 24th of May at the Château de Pesselières (Cher) and at an floral exhibition in La Ferté-Loupière (Yonne) from the 22nd to the 24th of May.
In the meantime, while waiting for your visit, we wish you an excellent flowering season,
