This is the result of the search for perfection in blue-red bearded irises. It is a pure light blue with orange-red beards. In addition to the purity of the colour, its growth habits, shape of the flowers and count of buds are excellent. Prizewinner at the American Convention and the Florence International Iris Competition in 1998.
Named after the beautiful Ile de Ré off the Brittany coast, it displays a combination of delicate seaside colours: the bluish-white on opening becomes pure white in full bloom. Pale yellow beards tipped with white. Numerous remarkably shaped ruffled flowers and a strong multiplier.
Robust descendant of "Futuriste" and "World Premier". Very pale blue standards and strong indigo-blue falls, fairly discreet yellow beards. Enormous flowers enlivened by strong, ample ruffles. Flowers quite close to the main stem, a characteristic inherited from its parent, "World Premier".
Amoena with pure white petals, light lilac infused. Violet sepals with a narrow lilac-white serrated edge. Orange barbs dotted with white. Sweet, flowery fragrance.
Gracefully shaped flowers with sky blue standards and darker blue-violet plicata markings on ruffled ivory falls. Popular iris, prize-winner several times despite a moderate average count of buds (only 5 to 6).
Born to 2 of our champions: 'Grenade' and 'Aurélie' with tones we like very much. Bright pink standards and raspberry purple falls strewn with light pink. Beards of coral red. Created to be seductive, it has a rich and joyful feel about it.
A child of the excellent "Dusky Challenger". It is a rich navy blue (almost exempt from violet). Vigorous grower and often three flowers blooming at the same time. Medium blue beards. RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2000.
