RING AROUND ROSIE

A most unusual two-toned iris ! Magenta standards infused with purple toward the centre. Ochre red falls, paler toward the bright yellow beards. Flowers of gorgeous shape (7-10) standing on very tall stalks.

An amoena with white standards very slightly touched with blue and deep blue-violet, nearly horizontal falls, with much paler 4 mm edges. Large flowers, 18 cm wide and gladioli-style branching.

Very nice Australian amoena ! Pure white standards , very wide lemon yellow falls with a 6mm marginal white band. Golden yellow beards , white at end. Excellent contrast and very early flowering . (Blyth 2002)

Magical’ can be considered as the point of culmination in the bubble-ruffled line of Joe Ghio. The domed standards are light peachy pink, and the flaring falls are creamy peach. Coral beards peachy pink shouldered. Super show branching with at least 8 buds, flowers remain fresh for 4 days. Exuberant shape, charming colour, in short, the perfect iris.

A unique combination of colours: standards are greenish yellow with an almost complete suffusion of olive and falls show the same background with a narrow brown edge and brown beards.

Magnificent MERRY AMIGO’S son ! Blue-white standards and wide almost horizontal falls, blue-pansy violet with satin aspect and paler edges. Yellow bronzed beards. Ruffled, well-branched and 8 buds on average.
