RASPBERRY FROST

White standards, white falls lined with closely spaced purple veins going from beard to edge and bordered with a narrow white rim. White beards tipped orange. Border bearded variety. (Black 2006)

Mahogany red standards, slightly closed. Cream grounded falls with a precise burgundy red border, 6 to 7 mm wide. Marigold orange beards. Top class plicata !

Standards light blue, yellow infusions; falls blue-white, mid to dark yellow bands mostly at hafts; beards yellow in throat, blue at end.

This new and luscious combination carries numerous elegantly ruffled flowers (11 on average) which feature medium-sized standards. The nearly horizontals falls of amaranth, with borders which turn to a light pink copper tone, are nicely echoed by bronze-coloured beards. We are pleased to have named this exquisite variety in memory of Madame Tardivier, former director of the Jardins des Tuileries at the Louvre.

No doubt the best bluish purple Plicata on a white background. Both standards and falls are neatly bordered. Beards are a light lavender.  A very strong plant yielding up to 4 stalks per rhizome, each carrying 9 buds. Perfect shape.

Very big flowers whose standards have a faint blue tinge on opening, quickly becoming pure white. Rounded, nearly horizontal falls, pure white with a wide bold blue-violet border (15 to 20 mm). Distinct, clearly visible, red beard. Robust standards and a balanced stalk (7 buds per stem). Moderately ruffled.
