PETIT LOUVOIS

A strongly coloured iris which we are proud to name after a great French courtier! Soft yellow standards above falls of the same yellow with a wide, raspberry red border, strongly waved like the folds of a courtier's costume. Large flowers carried on tall, well-branched stems.

Golden copper standards infused and washed with smoky purple, white falls infused clear purple-lavender especially in centre , copper-yellow border. Orange beards ending blue. Coming from DAKOTA SMOKE, unusual combination, strong growth.

"Paul Black" and "Alpenview" are the proud parents of this astonishing inversed amoena and its majestic 15 cm by 15 cm flower which is dedicated to Villa Erba, residence of the famous Italian film-director, Luchino Visconti. The magnificent wisteria-blue standards are darker at the centre, whilst the large bluish-white falls are elegantly undulated with ruffles. The mandarin-coloured beards of this really vigorous and fragrant new variety have lighter tips.

Brown-red or pure coppered chocolatee with bronze beards. Bright tint and firm-bodied.

Harmonious combination of pastel tones! Standards between cream and apricot. Strongly ruffled falls, coloured in cream lightly toned with apricot, edged with a light purple border. Vivid scarlet beards.

Pastel tones inherited from its parent, 'Wishful Thinking': soft Wysteria blue standards, darker towards the heart. White falls with hues of pinkish lavender. Pinkish-orange beards. A vigorous plant with a noticeable sweet fragrance.
